Aaron’s Analytical Mind 3-6 College Hoops Plays
The analytical mind just keeps on churning out the winners. On Wednesday the posted picks went 3-0 again, bringing my record in the last 46 plays to 34 wins and 12 losses. How about that for a super RedHottLock? I absolutely love this time of the year as it is now time for one and done conference tournaments and then March Madness. Start sharpening those pencils, because those brackets will be coming your way soon. For now, let’s keep the winning picks going!
Florida State at Miami- Under 131.5 (-110)- This game is a noon eastern time game, so get your pick in early here. Traditionally, early start times tend to help the under, plus the trends are on our side with this one. Florida State has really buckled down on defense of late and the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games. Miami is no offensive powerhouse at all, so FSU should keep this one low scoring. The first meeting ended at 136, but the shooting was pretty good and there were 49 free throws taken. I like the under this time.
Seton Hall at Providence- Over 168.5 (-110)- A quick glance at this pick and you may think I’m crazy. Really if you look at the data it looks like this one should be much higher. Providence has played several games around 190 points this year, and they are getting an opponent who plays very little defense and loves to run and shoot. Seton Hall needs to win this game and I fully expect a close one here. Don’t be surprised if we end with a final of 94-91 or something crazy. Take the over.
Notre Dame at Marquette under 140.5 (-110)- Notre Dame is playing great basketball since their star, Luke Harangoady, went down with an injury. The team is holding the ball much longer and forcing opponents to play defense for a long time, and they are playing much better defense themselves. Marquette plays great defense at home, allowing less than 60 points per game on their court. This is another one of those games where both teams are still a little questionable for the big tournament, so they both need it in a big way! Take the under!
